What a Joke July 18, 2008 I have no clue as to how this guy got on Amazon, as this unit is a joke. HHO generators work by splitting water in 2 hydrogen and 1 oxygen, when added to the intake of your car it will increase milage on newer cars by 20 to 30%, and sometimes more on older cars. The units need to be made of heavy duty plastic as pvc will melt under the hood, stainless steel plates in a mixture of water and baking soda, any ther wire will get eaten up by the reaction when you pass current thru the device. If you want a unit that works and will last search the web.
Electrolysis for HHO Car Fuel July 4, 2008 My electrolysis unit produces approximately one liter per minute. The unit is small at that. By building a larger one (or electrodes of greater surface area), I could easily produce more gas. This has proven to be more than enough for use in my engine and reduce gasoline consumption. I now think most cars should have this type of unit installed by the manufacturers. Why it isn't is a point of heated debate (and concern!). Multiply my results by millions of drivers and the reduction of fossil fuel dependance becomes pretty obvious... Steel electrodes will, over time, degrade due to surface oxygenation. Use of platinum (or gold for that matter) would be great if not so cost prohibitive for the average builder. Just build a couple of electrode plates or structures and rotate them. Keep one in a rust-free state by cleaning it in solution and brushing it off.
I have seen it myself June 14, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was recently at the house of my diesel mechanic (I live on a sailboat - thus the interest in alternative fuels) and commented about an odd looking plastic box with wires and hoses attached. When asked, he told me he had made a fuel cell which produced Hydrogen. Then he hooked the two wires to a car battery and the water in the box immediately began to give off LOTS of bubbles of what was obviously pure Hydrogen after he lit a match to it - LOTS of hydrogen. He used about 10 strips of very thin Stainless steel (not platinum)attached to two pieces of stainless all-thread which attached to the battery - and just plain water. It was AMAZING!!! Buy it, or make it yourself, stick the hose in your air intake. We all should...

Well... the guy selling this electrolysis system is not claiming that it will run your car out of hidrogen. What this thing does is to create a mild amount of HHO by electrolysis, out of probably distilled water and some electrolytes in the form of baking soda (as the instructions that this guy says he gives should say).
Such flow of HHO is injected in the air intake of your car, and then when combustion takes place, there is not only "air" but also HHO, which is higly explosive (more than gas) but in mild concentrations.
this mild concentration is more than enough to bring a 20% -50% gas saving in your car.
You can google it ... you can youtube it ... you will find TONS of persons doing it. THere is nothing new, nor difficult to understand.
I am about to build one for my own car, so I happened to find these jars being sold in Amazon. Surely, if you got some time, you dont need to buy them: you build them by yourself.
A sucker born every minute... are you next? April 24, 2008 1 out of 16 found this review helpful
I'm not sure how this POS ad got on Amazon, but anybody that thinks you can create enough hydrogen by simple electrolysis, and use it in a car, is just plain stupid. All you need is a glass jar, two wires, and a battery. Run a current through water, and you get H2 (hydrogen) emitted from one electrode, and O2 (oxygen) from the other. Conductors should be platinum, or else you get nasty reactions from the wire, etc... I used to make hydrogen baloons in my dorm in HS, so we could have things to blow up... takes a long time to make enough. You cannot practically make enough to run a car... look up 'electrolysis' and 'perpetual motion machine' in WIKI. This is a joke offering. Milage claims are ridiculous. Buyer beware. Darwin Award winners: this is the real deal; buy it, and you will be impressed with the results!
